Jimi Hendrix Real name: Johnny Allen Hendrix (His father changed the name to James Marshall Hendrix) Born November 27 1945 in Seattle. Died Sept 18, 1970 in London, England. He is buried in Renton, Washington Hendrix once told an interviewer: "When I die, I want people to play my music, go wild and freak out an' do anything they want to do."
